What you'll do
As an IT System administrator, you and your team will be responsible for the end-to-end management of specific IT services within the organization. This role involves ensuring that services are delivered by agreed-upon standards, optimizing performance and continuously improving the service delivery processes. As part of your role, you’ll be interacting as a Service Owner and serve as the main point of contact between IT and the business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
Your day-to-day activities:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned IT services, from inception to retirement, ensuring they meet business needs
- Collaborate with business units, stakeholders and end-users to understand requirements, gather feedback and ensure service alignment with business objectives
- Coordinate and manage the resolution of incidents and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and effective communication with stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by tracking and analyzing service performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing necessary changes along with best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality services
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of service processes, performance metrics and improvement initiatives. Prepare and present regular reports to your manager and stakeholders
- Ensure that IT services comply with relevant regulatory requirements, security policies and industry standards
What you bring to the table
- Minimum 3-5 years professional work experience in an IT service management role or equivalent administration role
- Business fluency in German and English
- Based in CET or within ±1 hour
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to work autonomously as well as to collaborate in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and contracts
- Ability to translate between business and technical requirements
It’s awesome if you have
- Proven experience in managing Google Workspace services or similar cloud-based service providers (e.g. Microsoft365)
- Knowledge about best practices in Identity Access Management and their implementation
- Have been working with a service management tool (preferably Jira Service Management)
- Certification in FitSM, ITIL, COBIT or other relevant frameworks is a plus
